Walking in the mountains with small
and substantial differences in height!
The possibilities for walking
near the Gîte are from easy to very difficult. Just
from the Gîte you can make short and light walks, but
also long ones and very challenging. The village lies at the
foot of the rocks of the "Chaine des Fiz" with
summit's over 2000 meter, there you find the challenging
walks with big difference in heights. It is always possible
in onde day to make a walk to a mountain hut and back to the
Gîte.
In the mountains around the village there are several lakes,
where to you can make walks. A simple walk you can make to
the "Lac Vert", two walks more long and severe
walks to the "Lac d'Anterne" or the "Lac
de Pormonaz". 
Just above the village lies "Le desert de
Platé", a geological very interesting area, where
you can find fossil's and footsteps of the Dinosaur. To
walk up there takes about two and a half hour, but is worth
while.
