Skiing!
To stay in our
Gîte is perfect for a winterholliday.
The nearest ski-area is about 5km from the Gîte,
called Plaine Joux. It is a small ski-area very suitable for
beginners and families with little children.
Just 15 minutes driving from the Gîte is the ski-area of
St-Gervais/Megève, with 420km of slopes. You will
find all kind of slopes , easy and heavy ones. It also
possible to go for a ride "Off-piste". The ski pass
of the ski-area St-Gervais/Megève also gives access to
the ski-area of Les Contamines Montjoie. This ski-area
lies on a higher altitude, that's why it is possible to
ski here until almost Mai. De distance from the Gîte to
this ski-area is about 20 km., half an hour driving.
Also Chamonix is not
far from the Gîte, just 22km, in winter you can reach
Chamonix in about half an hour. Near Chamonix are several
ski-areas.
Just further away, about 3/4 of an hour, is the ski-area of
Les
Carroz/Flaine.
Of course you can take in every ski-area lessons to learn
skiing.
